Q. Can I feed honeycomb tripe to gray?
A. You can if you are desperate, but it’s reduced in nutrient value. No tripe from a supermarket is worth buying, unless you have a dog in renal failure that needs a reduced phosphorus diet.
What you want is raw green tripe, stuff that is not allowed anywhere near human grade food. You may be able to get it from local farmers/ranchers who do their own butchering or from a slaughterhouse. Raw green tripe is also available from various online resources.
